The Classics Bookshop is committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to this website, and of its Members and Catalogue subscribers. You will possibly be aware of important changes in European data legislation taking effect this month, so in this section you will find information on how we treat data collected from visitors placing an order on the website or requesting membership or a Catalogue subscription.

VISITORS TO THE WEBSITE

When someone visits www.classicsbookshop.co.uk and places an order, the information they provide (typically name, address, e-mail details and telephone number) is stored securely in a database accessible only to us and to our external website administrator. The purpose of storing this information is to enable us to contact you in connection with your order and then to post the book(s) to you.

SIGNING UP FOR MEMBERSHIP OR CATALOGUES

If in the past you have either joined as a Member or received a regular Classics Bookshop Catalogue (whether electronically or by post), the information provided in connection with this request is also stored. Once again, the data is accessible only to us and to our external website administrator, and the purpose of storage is to enable us to allow Members access to the special website area and to ensure that subscribers do not miss out on Catalogues as and when they are published.

If you are already a Member, or a subscriber to the Catalogues, you need do nothing now – access to the Members’ Area and mailing of the Catalogues will continue as before. However please be aware that you can unsubscribe from Membership or from our Catalogue mailing list at any time just by e-mailing me at info@classicsbookshop.co.uk or by telephoning. Equally, you can contact us to update any information we hold by the same means, after which all out-of-date or irrelevant information will be deleted.

We will not share or exchange your personal information with any other person, company ororganisation.
